5511 - (عليكم بالإثمد) الكحل الأسود أي الزموا التكحل به (فإنه يجلو البصر) أي يزيد نور العين بدفعه المواد الرديئة المنحدرة من الرأس (وينبت الشعر) بتحريك العين هنا أفصح للازدواج والمراد شعر هدب العين لأنه يقوي طبقاتها وهذا من أدلة الشافعية على ندب الاكتحال بالأثمد قال ابن العربي: التكحل مشروع مستثنى من التداوي قبل نزول الداء الذي هو مكروه طبا وشرعا وذلك لحاجة الانتفاع بالبصر وكثرة تصرفه وعظيم نفعه وقيل إنه يطرأ على البصر من الغبار ما يكون عنه القذى وينزل منه بالعين ما يؤذيها فيشرع التكحل ليزول ذلك الداء فهو تطبب بعدنزول الداء لا قبله

وعن ابن عباس - رضي الله عنهما - أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - قال: "اكتحلوا بالإثمد, فإنه يجلو البصر, وينبت الشعر"

أي دوموا على استعماله, وهو بكسر الهمزة والميم بينهما مثلثة ساكنة حجر يكتحل به. قيل: هو الكحل المعروف, والأظهر أنه نوع خاص منه لما في رواية للترمذي, عن ابن عباس أن خير أكحالكم الإثمد .قال التوربشتي: هو الحجر المعدني, وقيل: هو الكحل الأصفهاني ينشف الدمعة والقروح ويحفظ صحة العين ويقوي غصنها, لا سيما للشيوخ والصبيان.
(فإنه): أي الإثمد أو الاكتحال به (يجلو البصر): من الجلاء أي يحسن النظر, ويزيد نور العين, وينظف الباصرة لدفع المواد الردية النازلة إليها من الرأس.
وعند أبي عاصم والطبري من حديث علي بسند حسن: عليكم بالإثمد, فإنه منبتة للشعر مذهبة للقذى مصفاة للبصر.
ورواه البغوي في مسند عثمان عنه بلفظ: "عليكم بالكحل, فإنه ينبت الشعر ويشد العين"

نعم, في التعليل إشارة لطيفة إلى أن المكتحل إذا أراد تحصيل السنة ينبغي أن يقصد بالاكتحال المعالجة والدواء لا مجرد الزينة كالنساء, ولذا ذهب الإمام مالك إلى كراهة الاكتحال للرجال مطلقا إلا للتداوي,

Narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas - rodliyallohu anhuma - indeed the Prophet - shollallohu alaihi wasallam - said:
"اكتحلوا بالإثمد, فإنه يجلو البصر, وينبت الشعر"
"bercelaklah with itsmid, because it can clear vision, and grow feathers."

That is bercelaklah always using itsmid. According to one opinion: itsmid is the shadow that has been tolerated. Opinion adhhar itsmid is one type / certain kind of kohl as a history of Imam at-Tirmidziy, from Abdullah bin Abbas:
أن خير أكحالكم الإثمد
"The most real good guys is kohl itsmid." At-turbasytiy said: itsmid is ma'dan stone. According to another opinion: it is a stone that can clean asfihan Belek / tears and cuts, maintaining eye health and strengthens the branches, especially for parents and children.
